For one hundred years, Constance Grant Dance Centre has been inspiring dancers of all ages in Sheffield. Many pupils have gone on to professional careers or teaching, whilst countless others have simply enjoyed the joy of dance and achieving their own goals. With a proud reputation for high quality teaching, regular performances and a happy, family atmosphere our record truly speaks for itself.
Based on Psalter Lane in Sheffield, we have been part of the local community since 1925. Our studios are a welcoming home for dancers of all ages.
From parent and toddler sessions to adult classes , we offer a wide range of classes so there is something for everyone to enjoy.
All our teachers are IDTA qualified, DBS checked and committed to creating a safe, friendly and supportive environment where every dancer can thrive.
The Studio
Our home on Psalter Lane has been the heart of Constance Grant Dance Centre since 1925. With three bright and fully equipped studios, we provide a welcoming space where dancers of all ages can learn, grow and perform.
The Classes

Do we need to buy a uniform before our child starts classes?
No, not straight away. We recommend booking a free taster session first. Once your child is settled, you can order the correct CGDC uniform directly through us.
Are your teachers qualified?
Yes. All CGDC teachers are IDTA qualified, DBS checked and committed to creating a safe, supportive and inspiring environment for every dancer.
Do you offer adult classes as well as children’s?
Absolutely! We run Ballet, Tap, Contemporary and Barre Fitness classes for adults of all levels perfect for fitness, fun and meeting new people.
How do I book a place on a Dance Camp or Workshop?
It’s simple, check the dates on our website and contact us to reserve your child’s spot. Camps and workshops are open to everyone, not just CGDC pupils, and places fill quickly, so early booking is recommended.
